Combines 972 header problem

Do you put the pins under the springs, when you go down the roadIJ

Not sure what you mean...there are no pins under the springs of this header. Do you mean do we bolt up the header (to make it rigid, as it would be for wheat or milo)IJ If so, that would be new to us--we've never had to do that when transporting the thing (have owned it since 1983). This problem of the springs jumping up above the cutterbar has only begun this season. That's why I suspect it's wear related.

I think he is referring to a NH flex head. I think they made one with that number. Not a Macdon.

Sorry, magnum man noticed it, I was thinking of a 972 MacDon. Didn't know NH was using that number, too.
