I have several friends that have these tractors and all have been very happy with them. I have run a friends 9882 alot, They pull a seven shank ripper which is not big enough for the power they have and a 50ft field cultivator. They usually pull it about 7mph which equals about 35ac an hour. They run the rpm's at 1700, it burns alot less fuel and has more power at the lower engine speed.

We have run tractors from 875(8900 hrs),876(7800 hrs),976(6900 hrs) and now I'm running a 9880 with 2500 hrs with zero down time in total, aside from tires...another story! The only thing you need to watch on the 80 series is the hyd if you are running a air seeder I would recomend the updated system! Otherwise turn the key and GO!

Thanks for the info, found out this machine has clocked up nearly 12000 hrs, so I think I might keep looking.
