Combines 475R and 30 draper in spring wheat

Thats about right. Thats about what our 480 will run through before loss becomes an issue. I believe a 475 with the R is similar power to our old 480

I am thinking of getting a used 480. What is generally your limiting factor on this machine. You mentioned losses--the chaffer or the rotorsIJ How often do you run out of powerIJ I believe the 480 is 365 hp and the 470_5R is 340 hp. What kind of chopper do you have and what would you recommendIJ Thanks.

Keep in mind that the 480 has much more cleaning area, the 475r would me no match for it.

I don't have any experience, but that's exactly what I was thinking. The separation area is also much larger, close to double.

Remember that! The 475R is no more plagued with grain loss, no matter the header type, than any other brand. It all has to do with the operator.
