how long does that code stay on.If its for a min,or two call your dealer and he will tell you what is wrong.I once hat that happen and it was a sensor under the feederhouse.

I believe there is an oil pressure sensor under the injector pump and screwed in the block that can go out and cause the header not to raise. It is very quick and simple to replace. I had it go out on a 2188 and 1680 but I'm not sure if the 2388 is the same.

I had this problem last year. Head would go down, but not up . It was the header height pot at the top left side at the rear of the feederhouse. The shaft can get rusty and when the arm moves from the linkage hooked to the feederhouse, the shaft turns inside of the arm. Buy the whole part with the bracket and should fix the problem.
