Well we are very happy with our 8010 overall. Our farm used to run a 1688 and 2188. Now we kept the 2188 to help on the beans but only run the 8010 in corn. We have about 750 hrs on our 2003 model. We have had ours in for the updates, so that is a pain but the company has stepped up to help. I'm not sure why but the 2004 models had a tough year. 2005 models seeemed to have fewer complaints. We will trade for another 8010. This combine is a different animal. You will never look at your old combines the same way after you drive an 8010 for a day.

I've been following all the 2006's I can find and they all seem to be doing well, better than 2300's in some cases. a lot of changes in the 06 machines if you buy a 04 be sure to get the updates!! as many as you can. I think the new cone and cage will make this combine really work.

We had so many problems with our 2004 8010 I can not begin to list them all, then Case did the updates which I really did not think they would get it figured out that quick. But in 2005 it worked great. So I traded my 2 2388s for a 2006 8010 and granted we only run a cupple of days in wheat with both 8010s and they worked great. At best was 40 bu wheat on some feilds and as low as 10 on others. The flex draper is sure nice to run with the adjustable knive angle. Would not think of going back to 1020s and 2388s after runing the 8010s. But you are on the right track get all colors to bring out a machine good luck on what you choose we actually had green and yellow and red side by side.
