Combines 860 concave

Just have patience. Best trick is to use a heavy duty air hammer and rattle the dirt out of the pipe first, heat the outside inch (as this is the only part that fits tight on the shaft). I used the air hammer to rattle on these two areas while someone else pulls on the shaft. A slide hammer on the shaft also helped. Hopefully your machine has previously been shedded. Air hammer works well for rear shaft too. Good luck.

I feel for you on that front hex shaft. I ended up cutting mine out with a hack saw blade. Was about $110 for genuine massey shaft. When I reworked the stone door, I welded the gap closed where the metal rolls around to the bottom of the door, Hope this keeps dirt-dust-grain from getting into tube and corroding hex shaft too bad. Taking the concave out we ended up using two porta-power units to spread the seperator housing slightly - This helped a bunch. Oh yea , a tractor with loader was also present. Have a good harvest.

Just buy a new plate from louwen and install it. Several holes will need to be drilled, and may need to be slotted. Draw the plate down until it is flush or below the top of the lastbar. The reason the plate wears so badly is if it protrudes above this bar. The louwen plate may be slightly heavier than factory.

probably wind up buying a new plate, the concave we just pulled out is junk but the one we pulled out of our older machine is still good the only reason we pulled it out was we got a heck of a deal on a new one.Now the price is 1300$ cdn.Don't have to worry about combining the canola anymore the hail took care of that!!
