Combines Grain loss from Rotor

The rotor bars on this type of cylinder have a tendency to wear on the trailing edge of the teeth. This can give the appearance of a usable rotor bar, when it's actually not. You might consider turning them.......................Also, if you are using the narrow spaced bars, consider replacing them with bars with wide spaced teeth.............Are the openings in the cage rounded on the inner sideIJ If the cage wasn't chrome plated, this is likely....In order for the grain to separate thru the cage, the edges of the openings need to retard flow across the inner surface, scalping grain as it moves past.....last, if all is well with the previous, consider adding a couple more reverse bars. They'll require a little more HP, but should save grain.......Hope some of this helps.....
