Livestock as “pets” - it sounds crazy to some - but it’s been done. If it’s a labor of love and someone likes doing it...go for it. Just because I wouldn’t do it for free - much less pay to do it...doesn’t mean it’s “crazy”.
Hell - tourist pay big money in Vegas to be a heavy equipment operator for the day or to shoot rifles in the desert. Last time I looked - plenty of people demand to be paid to work construction or join the armed forces. Funny how these supposed former “low education/blue collar” jobs now have high income/white collar customers paying to try them out. Why should “being a farmer” be any different. Ever since the West opened up - there’s been someone “hobby farming” in the USA.
