Coal Power

What are your views on coal being used to generate electricity? Do you think it's needed in this day and age? I think of what the miners have to go through just to earn a buck and think that there has to be a better way in 2020.

Who is using coal outside China/India?

In the US its Nat Gas and then the "green" options.

Coal is not used for power plants here much - what we produce goes overseas.

Metalurgical coal remains a thing - and will for a while, but mini mills are cheaper and more productive.

As to miners work...underground vs above ground...different jobs entirely. Neither "easy" - but face it, the places these mines remain arent exactly economic hot spots.
