Farmers need to have adequate knowledge before joining or forming a group. It helps them make informed decisions and decide their future collectively. I feel like weak advisory services can lead to failure. What are some of the things to consider beforehand?

I agree with you to a point on this. I think most of the members need to have more than the basic knowledge of farming. I think others can be just starting out and learning.

I'm not much for starting my own thing. It's just too time-consuming and requires unnecessary labor since established groups are already out there. And every group will have their good and bad members. With time, you learn who to trust and who to ignore.

Forming a group can be hectic and requires the farmers to be specific about what they want to achieve. Joining an existing established one is more convenient. Irrespective of their various levels of experience, all farmers should make decisions collectively.
