To Be Ready for the future, you need to utilize the most efficient and time-saving technology to maximize your investment. Case IH Advanced Farming Systems (AFS) precision technology has become a necessary component in many farming practices.

In fact, the new Case IH AFS Support Center recently went into full service, adding a new level of support for Case IH customers and their precision farming investment. The AFS Support Center provides 24/7/365 access to service and support for everything from monitors, to guidance technology, to receivers, to section control. This additional layer of around-the-clock support, which backs up support provided by local dealers, will help Case IH customers stay on the leading edge of technology while also minimizing downtime.

Precision farming is no longer a ?nice-to-have? option ? it is an integral part of North American producers? best management practices. This video tells how producers are using Case IH AFS to save time and improve efficiency. Doug Keer, one customer featured on the video, estimates that 70 to 80 percent of the farmers in his community around Strathmore, Alberta, Canada, use GPS technology in their farming operations.

Larry Dugdale, a farmer from Rockyview, Alberta, says, ?Every time you can save a bushel or two an acre and see a $5- to $10-per-acre increase per year, and you?re working with a larger farm like ours of 5,000 to 10,000 acres, it becomes an increase of $50,000 to $100,000. As technology advances, we?re going to find ways to shave $5 or more off our cost [per acre] every year.?

Jeff Page, another Alberta producer, notes, ?You?re avoiding obstacles all the time in the field. It?s invaluable to be able to go around slews or waterways and be comfortable that you?re perfectly aligned with the next pass. You don?t lose any efficiency because of it, and it?s very handy.?

Whether you?re talking about Case IH Axial-Flow® combines, Patriot sprayers, or Steiger® Quadtrac®, Magnum? or Puma® tractors, efficiency is the name of the game. Stuart Nielsen of New England, North Dakota, says, ?You can get in the machine and you know how to run the monitors because they?re the same in every piece of equipment. That?s really nice.?
