Hello my name is Neil. I am a part time young farmer working off 1/4 acre in Ireland.
Farms and the country of Ireland are suffering from an exodus. The average age of farmers is rising due to young people leaving for sunnier pastures.
Even though we are experiencing these problems as a country and industry, there is difficulty in sourcing land for lease except large parcels of land.
For a small farmer large parcels are unrealistic as I dont have the capital or workforce to farm at that scale.
So my question is. Can it be viable to crowdfund a 4 acre plot, that I can lease off investors to expand my operations sensibly.
The average price of land in ireland is just over €9000 or $9700.
I will be grateful for any comments and guidance.
