Settings for long tooth chaffer for corn would be 3_4" front,1_2" center,and 5_8" on the rear. In soybeans 1_2"-5_8" front,center closed-3_8",and 1_2"-9_16" on the rear. If you have a lot of hills and terraces you can add a piece of 1_8"x2" metal standing at a 45 degree angle to the rear edge of top chaffer to control grain that would tend to go over in this condition.
