Combines N6 compared to newer combines

My father also just purchased a N-6 1979 model, with 600 engine hours (replaced with remanufactured factory unit, set to N-5, lower max RPM) and 1800 Seperator hours. They had a 4400 and were lured to this unit due to its large capacity and reseasonable price. I would appreciate any information regarding this machine.

Old Gleaner combines are essentially pieces of junk. Never, ever buy a Gleaner N series. My uncle is the BIGGEST Gleaner fan and he always remarks how crappy those first gleaner rotaries were. I only wish they'd improved them.
