New Calf Arriving Soon

We have a pregnant cow who should be giving birth soon. This will be our first time caring for a calf. Do you all have any words of wisdom?

I see that if it's really cold out, some farmers will actually bring a calf into their home for a day or two so he/she doesn't get frostbite. Has anyone here actually done that before?

Some farmers (including us) indeed bring calves into their home since hypothermia and frostbite are the two problems that come with cold weather. Your best option is in using towels or blankets for bedding and changing them from time-to-time to dry, warmer ones.
