WASHINGTON, April 26, 2021 – Earlier today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a new effort funded by the American Rescue Plan to provide adequate nutrition to more than 30 million children over the summer by expanding Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits.
What does this mean? I read it but it does not really say what they are doing. Is this like before when they load money onto cards for kids that get free lunches at school? If so, I think it's a great way to ensure our children won't go hungry.
On the obvious hand, this is a good thing. Feed our children that need help. On the other hand, just how much of our lives is the government going to keep paying for?
