Dan your parts man might be correct. I put that number in my parts CD and it said that number does not exist. Are you sure you wrote it down correctlyIJ

i looked up this number too and found nothing. you can go to the cih web site and pull up a parts book for your 1440 and look around and see if you can find what you're looking for. good luck! Duane

Yes , cheked it twice after getting no results from the parts man. There is a small black box mounted at a 45 degree angle on the side of the hydro cable mount with the same type connector but the harness is connected to the larger one. I have a parts book and it dosent show this part any where. If we could post pictures here I could show it to you. Maybe this is a prototype control for the 16 series. Combine was bought new at Russelville KY and I am the second owner. Hope it never goes bad as I can't find a replacement. Dan
