Without knowing what concaves and coverplate setups and a few more details. I'd say slow your rotor down a ways to about 800 to 850. Then watch the header cut height. Again without more details, the symtems sound like the load on the machine is changing on you. Try keeping the header at the same height or close as possible to what you're at when you get the good sample. Then run the combine by the rotor tachometer. Whatever speed the rotor is at when the sample is good is where i would try to keep it at. That way the load on the machine is consistent. Hope this helps a little. I'm in Oregon USA, so I only know about soft white wheat at 10-12% moisture with dry stems and leaves.
