I'm watching the news and there are so many mutations of the original virus. South Africa, UK and Japan now have their own strand of COVID-19. It's a scary situation. They say it is mutating because of the amount of people that have it.
I saw that and it is scary. I really hope that the vaccine helps soon. I mean, once people can get it. How do we know that the vaccine will be good for all these new strains?
We won't. The flu has a new strain every year, and we're left guessing whether the current vaccine will work. This is why flu vaccines have a very low success rate, and the main reason I don't take them.
I'm not sure that we will know that the 2 vaccines will work on the new strain either. I'm hopeful because I want this to be over, but who knows. I don't get the flu shot either, because it's not really effective.
I truly hope it isn't like the flu shot. That never seems to work. You are right, they always blame it on a different strain. It's scary that this virus mutated so quickly.
