Combines variable speed cylinder drive belt

You do not mention whether you are in low range cylinder speed, so I'll assume you are. If not you should be. If you do not have dual range speed you can buy a slow down kit. When you are in low range and at a slow cylinder speed the top pulleys are at their maximum diameter which gives more belt traction. Grease the lower Pulleys - Set the cylinder speed to maximum - stop the machine - remove the breather from the center of the lower pulley hub - Pump grease into the nipple until it comes out the breather hole - replace breather. Belt Tension - Set the cylinder speed to Minimum - Stop the Machine - Using a piece of 1_4 inch rod, at least a foot long, try and put it between the lower sheaves. If it will not go in, you will have to draw the pulley assembly down with the adjusting bolts until the rod will go between. If the lower pulleys have not been greased annually or more, there is a good chance the bushings in the sensing cams and the cams are worn. Another thing that can cause your problem is a primary countershaft bearing piling up, momentarily losing drive to the cylinder. Hope this is of some help.
