Combines WAKE UP CASE

I just wish Case would have built the combine they had planned on building instead of being forced into building the 8010 but i guess that goes with being bought out. You never know maybe in 4 years the 8010 will come a long way... I know you'll be happy with a 2388 with an AFX Rotor. Just me 2 cents

just as in the n-series gleaner--2 years tooooo early, got a bad name and the rest is history. begining to wonder if the design folks at these places have ever had a test machine in tough conditions.

If you are talking about the capacity in high moisture corn. There is away to make it better. It all has to do with air floww.Try putting a seal on the bottom pair of seives. That will give you much better air flow.You may have to adjust the air dams in the fan housing to direct the air more towards the seives.Thats what I did to the CR's that my dealership. Maybe it would work in your aplication.

Sorry to hear you had problems with your 8010 this fall. We could not have been more happy with the performance and reliability of ours this year. We combined 4500 acres with a total of 6 hours downtime. Much fewer problems than we had with our 9650STS the first year. Know of 3 others in this area with similar results as ours. Case does have a few bugs to work out, but so did Deere. Overall a great machine.

I was beginning to wonder what we were going to do for entertainment this winter now since Tony got his going and he's happy with it. FR, When you say your side panels are cracked are you talking the cosmetic side panelsIJ

They hauled my backup machine to someone else with a 2003 model that couldn't keep the feeder drum together. they need to sit back and look at what they had in the 2300's and install it in these 8010's the feeder was always reliable as long as it was adjusted and you keep a fairly new chain in it. as for side panels both of the 8010's MVI sold have the lH back panels broke in the same placeIJ the latches and supports on these panels are a joke a really big joke. I don't want to go into the amount of trash these things get on the back of them. Do you suppose the engineers ever come out to look at one thats been ran 500 hrs. IJ overall a very good machine but has problems that need addressed.

The best thing to do is stay calm. Neighbor had the back axles fall off of 2 9650's! Another neighbor had his brand new 9650 at the end of the field for a week with the side panels up. I don't think everybody else's new designs are flawless. Nobody seems to want to own an Cat after 750 hours, and the STS machines are as bad or worse. The 2388's are a great machine, I think that the 8010's will be too, given enough time. Case knew they had things to iron out. Chads

8010s aren't the only thing CIH has a problem with. Try lBX balers and MX Magnums. And they don't seem to care if they remedy the problems with them either. I used to be all red . . . but no more. The ratio of red at my place is going to get smaller too . . . unless they start to act like they care.

Well maybe compared to Deere they are better but thats not good enough I ran mine along side of 2388s all fall they did more acers than this 8010 with no down time that we could not fix our selves and may be you had good conditons as soon as it got tough going the 8010 fell right on its face that combine needs to have 500 hp to work all the hydralics takes way to much power with stock power New Holland engineers are laughing at Case engineers because they told them it would take to much power compared to belts I like the hydralics compared to belts but needs 500 hp mine is at 440 now and its better but still not where it needs to be. There was 3 machines I know of that were 2003 8010s that the farmers updated to 2004 and they had more trouble with new machines than old ones, old ones had more power also I waited 1 year thinking they would have these worked out but I guess I was wrong 1_4 of mill wrong!

I was just thinking the same thing Silver!. The early N series Gleaner's were introduced too soon, before the bugs had been worked out. The resultsIJIJ Horror stories from early owners and IMHO the eventual collapse of what was arguably a Gleaner domintated combine market. Even 20+ years later Gleaner is still trying to recover from those 'dark' days. The R-x5' series that Gleaner produces today will run side by side with the best competition out there but the memories of the first N's is enough to push potential customers away from the new R's. Not saying that the same with happen with Case combines ,but it should sure be a hell of a wake up call for the engineers and marketors within Case or ANY manufacturer today.
