Doesn't deere have electronic engines now! If they do, they should have software that the dealer can access when connected to machines'ECM to tell them what is wrong. 6000 dollars that is a rip off! Replacing EUI(electronic unit injectors) is quick! two to three orings on each injector and a valve cover gasket along with the injectors. should have been around 4000 or so depending if they have reman injectors.

JD paid for it. All $6,000 of it because they said that shouldn't happen. I don't see a problem with it rip off or not.

It could be possibly be the fuel regulating housing if it is an early 9400 tractor. It is mounted on the back of the head. The valve seat doesn't seal properly allowing fuel to not hold pressure. If you are getting fuel in engine oil then it could be the seals in the pump.

Why are you replacing injectors every 1000 hrs. What symtoms are you having. Not dirty_contaminated fuel

do not know about 9650 but know of a lot of problems with broken back axles on 9750 in the Missippi delta. One guy has 3 9750s and lost a total of 18 back axles. Deere finally settled for a HUGH amount of money and took the combines back. had 28lx26 tires set out to the last hole and rear wheel assist with logger tires on front. Could not keep back axles on them. This all happened in the fall of 2002.

Hello everyone. When Deere introduced the 7000 and 8000 tractors, they went to a smaller pencil-like injector. I'm not sure exactly what the reasoning was behind this other than to sell parts probably. In our 7800, we went to a 6hole tipped injector. It has a finer mist to help atomize fuel. It cut our fuel consumption about a 3rd. Horsepower increase was barley noticable, but the fuel savings was well worth it!!
