The l-4 was made in Mexico for a short time by a group who bought tooling, etc. from Gleaner.....I don't think they are in production anymore.....I've worked with two of them, and they were built a little heavier in some places than l-3's are.....I think financial problems sank the effort--they were undercapitalized, and for the few of them which were sold, a down payment of 1_2 the end cost was required as a deposit....As I remember, though, a new machine was list priced at $65,000....This wasn't so very long ago....It's too bad it fell through.
