The correct dimension is in the 2000 2388 operators manual or your dealer will have a service bulletin NHE SB 39.1 98 that outlines the procedure. It is a little known fact that the book is wrong. You may want to check the hub on the separator drive pulley. I've had them break but still stay together. Early '98 production 2388's missed the heat treat on this part. Hope this helps.
