Does anyone have a preferred goat breed? I like raising Nubians and LaManchas. Nubians are such a sweet breed with delicious milk. LaManchas are so adorable and they have good personalities. :)

I've tried using a tiller before, but it's so big and unwieldly that I struggle to handle it. I usually ask my husband to do it! I don't mind weeding so much, so it is not a huge deal if the tilling isn't fully effective.

I had no idea that there was such an easy trick to growing carrots! My family has a raised bed that we're going to use for carrots now. I'm really excited to try my carrots in the raised bed! Thanks for the advice! :)

I've found that if I give my kid their own row, they are more invested in gardening. One of my kids decided to grow kale this year, which isn't something we've done before. My son is so invested in his row of kale! I think letting them feeling involved will be how you generate interest.

The carrots in my garden always grow very small. It's disappointing to go out to the garden and dig up a puny carrot when you're hoping for a nice plump one. Does anyone have any tips for growing carrots?

What's your favorite gardening tool? I never get started without my favorite pair of gardening gloves and my trusty trowel. I also take a nice big water bottle out to the garden with me. :)

Sadly, we have no babies yet. We are hoping for some soon! We have seen several young rabbits in our yard. And we've heard some young birds. But we don't have any babies of our own!

What's your go-to vegetable that you always plant in your garden? For my family, it's potatoes. We always have an excellent potato crop! Sometimes, I feel like I should only plant potatoes, since they always do so well!

I feel like I'm this way too. My flower beds look really nice and I keep the outside of my house looking neat and orderly. I feel like more people are going to see the outside than the inside anyway. :)

I don't own any firearms myself, but lots of my friends and family do. I will sometimes shoot clay pigeons with friends, but it's not something I do often enough to purchase my own firearm.

Hectic! My kids had lots of activities this weekend, and on top of that, the goats needed their hooves trimmed. It was a lot to keep up with. Thankfully, things are (hopefully) less busy this weekend.

How often do you rotate your crops? I've been told it's best practice to do it yearly, meaning that if you plant corn one year, it's best to plant soybeans or winter wheat the next. What are your practices regarding crop rotation?

Our family had a nice, quiet day at home. My husband made me breakfast in bed, and then I played games with my kids. We're waiting to go out until Covid restrictions loosen up.
