If something happens to you and/or your farm, what emergency plans do you have in place? We all need to be prepared for whatever may happen for the sake of our family.

    Answer Neg Reviews?

If I had reviews to read, yes, I would take the negative into consideration. You may be doing something wrong and not even know it until some random stranger point it out.

What Do You Do With Cows When They Stop Producing?

You know you shouldn't do that, right? I understand why people do it, they just love animals and that's fine, but that's why the decision is hard. Your profits will go up if you sell them for the beef.

    Horses getting replaced by machines

That's the thing about change. It seldom, if ever, is all encompassing. Yes, machinery replaced horses. But the machinery then left the horses less valuable, people who couldn't buy the tractors could buy horses now. The Amish though, don't really fit into this. Some have horses worth about as...

    Community Or Neighborhood Gardens

Do you have one in your area? If so, do you participate? If not, I think a good way to start is with with radishes or Stevia as they are low maintenance plants. And Stevia especially is a good thing to share with your neighbors so they can sweeten their mint tea, the leaves grown in the same...

    Fire Extinguishers for the Farm

We have 1 in the kitchen of the house and a larger one in the garage where chemicals and gas are. Just a tip, but if you have those sorts of things in a garage or out-building, keep them by a window or a door and keep the fire extinguisher on the other side of the building.

    Downsizing May Be Better

You know what they say...........you can't sour the pot with a hot potato issue. ? I'm with jjp in that they need to enact some type of legislation to limit the amount of mega farms. Mix it up for the sake of public safety in case something like this happens again. Corporate greed is putting...

That bottom one looks like a meme wants to be made out of it. The middle one almost looks like it belongs on Pink Floyd album and the top one..........well that cow is just a doof. Thanks for the light-hearted pics, friend.

    Spring Planting

So have any of you finished your spring gardens yet? We just started ours last week, and I'll go through my charts to see if I want to save any space for any summer plants.

    Meat shortages

, That gut feeling is called hunger...…. Joking aside, I see issues in the near future. The way plants are set up, the workers are shoulder to shoulder. I used to work in a plant in my early 20's that cut rib-eye, Porterhouse and other steaks. The band saws were about 3 feet away from the...

    Family or First-Generation Farmers?

No it's not. It's about conversation. If you want to advertise, buy ad space. My aunts and uncles have been farming for a few generations now, so that's where I got my interest. It's in the blood.

    Farming Collectables

Farming families that have been around 3 or 4 generations are the main offenders. It's more than just vintage or antique pieces to them. It's family history.

    Rock Or Grass

For your house, would you rather have grass landscaping or rock? I have a few neighbors who landscaped with rock and I think it looks lazy.

    Curbside Pick-Up?

If everything is local, I think it's a good idea. You still need to be mindful of porch pirates if the packages stay out too long.

    Is Marketing Even Needed?

If you have a small operation and sell your goods locally, do you even need to market? Online or off, in this situation, do you think word of mouth is sufficient?

Two Tone Paint Jobs On Chevy Trucks

Look at old pictures of them and keep the colors consistent with those times. Like, what colors were popular in 1975 for instance. I think it looks pretty cool whenever I see it.

    The Food Chain

It is only a matter of time I suppose before workers in meat packing plants start getting sick with COVID 19. Has anyone heard about plants making preparations to keep their operations going when this happens? The last thing we need right now is a major disruption in the American food chain.

    Are Napa Batteries Any Good

I've never really considered the brand. I look at the cold amps and the charging power. All batteries, as far as I know, are built to last around the same amount of time based on average use.

Livestock Auctions Are An Essntial Business

SInce livestock breeding leads directly to more livestock that is needed to help feed America, the live auctions are deemed essential. Most of them are outdoors so it's easy to social distance yourself. So next time anyone hears about a livestock auction taking place, please don't freak out. We...

Fewer Chickens Will be Produced in Georgia Soon

That is a pretty significant number. You would think that with the food industry being essential they would find a way to keep those employees "socially distanced" from each other and keep the numbers up. We all know the demand isn't going down.
