What year is itIJ Is it a Titan II. I've got an 1988 model TII and just love it. I came from a 760 Massey that was good to me but the 8820 is a real horse! I have not found any particular problems with mine. I've had some bearings start to go and replaced all the belts when I first got her. What were the main crops it ranIJ Check the concave and the cylinder bars to see if they are in good shape and check the metal where it bolts to the front axles. look for cracks if someone always loaded her to the gills and had a large header on it. I run corn and soybeans and my JD service manager said not to put more than a 25ft head on her without duals because it could cause undo stress and twisting on the throat. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. The one I'm looking at is an 82 and I think it was mainly used in cereal crops and canola. What attracted me is relatively low hours for the age of it. The concave and rub bars were new a year ago and the feeder chain has done one season. I'll check those front axles though.
