Have never ran them side by side, but have heard about 30% more than a 9600. We did some wheat testing 22 this fall. Could run about 3.5 - 5.0 mph with a 30 ft. head. Wheat ran about 50. limiting factor was walker loss, or power.

Farmer up my way tried a 460 Cat. Had a pair of 9600's and worked them side by side. He said on the whole, they were basically the same size, and maybe the Cat just a wee bit smaller, since feeder width on Cat was 55 inches and 66 inches on the Deeres. A few things he did not like on the Cat (not sure what),and mentioned Dealer and parts to far away to bother with the Cat.

A Cat 460 is a 67 inch wide machine. A Cat 460R is a narrower machine, same as a 470R with less HP.
