Combines Cheaper parts for corn head

I _MIGHT_ would consider gathering chains from SHOUP but would only buy roll blades from AGCO. Good quality roll blades in good condition will do more for the performance of a corn head than anything in my opinion. I wouldn't risk getting cheap blades that are soft and will wear out in one season. Also, times are tough for your local dealer too - support him.... Tom langan

I can tell you from experience that the shoup blades are not the quality of the AGCO blades. Yes, they are cheaper, and will do O.K. for a couple of years if you don't run over 800 acres_yr. We replaced some in 95 on a hugger and in 98 had to change them again. Customer got 6 yrs. with the original blades. Remember, shoup can't give you advise on your cornhead and combine, your AGCO dealer can!
