If the 4400 is field ready and in good shape, I think that is a fair price.  It will run a ton of hours before it gives out.  My farm neighbor got 15 years and 6,500 hours out of a 4400 before he traded.  He replaced the cylinder and the bars at around 3,000 hours.  Since you have worked with the 292 gasser you should be comfortable with this one.  I drove my neighbor's 4420 for several seasons.  It did a great job separating the grain. I have seen comments on the Gleaner F and the 4400 and I think they are fairly similar.
