Cranking up machinery in winter

Be honest, how often do you crank up your tractor, combine, and other machinery during the winter? Is that part of your maintenance routiine? I'll admit it's a chore I tend to put off. I'm doing good to fire them up two or three times over the winter season.

I never do it, but then again, I live in California and in my area it's not exactly frigid. I bet your equipment will be just fine, especially if you took the time to winterize it before storing it away.
