Dairy farmers negatively impacted

My brother forwarded me this news article about the negative effects on the dairy industry that are a result of the coronavirus. Now that surprises me quite a bit because when I go to the store, I see customers wrangling for all the milk they can get out of fear that it will run out. So, what's going on?

There is a projection of a 3-10% drop in dairy prices over the next 12 years, and so the usual rush could be as a result of speculation. The "panic buying" causes concern about consumers being afraid of some items running out of stock.
