Did you install the green stem kit while at itIJ Thats the kit that adds another row of helicals on thresher side and hooks up the steeper pitch thresher helicals to shallower pitch seperator helicals. I doubt very much that your setup will cause any more short straw than previous factory setup. You should be able to tweak down sieve to get rid of short straw if chaffer didn't do the trick. Stacked helicals will be most benifitial in the tough going and not as much in good going. You might want to consider switching out at least one of them reverse bars for forward. Good luck

Thanks for the help. We had better luck today 4-5 mph in 30-40bu wheat 60 bu stubble it sure is easy to tell which combine has the chopper and which one doesn't. We are up against green wheat I might change reverse bars.
