Well you certainly came to the right place. Take your little mouse in hand and click on 'tips' to your left there, and then upgrades, then just let the fingers do the walking thru the menu of P3 processor. Don't forget the basics and if cyl. bars were worn take a hard look at heilicals. They are just as important as the bars. The extended bars_cut paddles using 4 paddles and 4 cyl. bars all the way out will greatly add to capacity in tough beans. Do the research and ask any questions as you upgrade the R40 to levels of performance you won't beleive as most of the upgrades are a low cost investment to your Gleaner'''''''''''''''''''''''

They are cutting the pattles off some, and making the bars longer.Heilicals are between 3_8 and 1_2 from bottom to top. What would new ones measure, and can I build them up. When I put the combine in RWA it slows half speed, about 3mph. when I go to third gear,it what's to bog a little. Also I heard about turning the horsepower up to 190. Is that samething I can do, or I need to get a specialist. Thank you. little Man

New helicals are 1_2" tall. Most important part is area in middle of cage; this is the highest wear area. Have been guilty of switching the worn ones with the ones not worn... cheapscape me... extending the 3d helical is a real asset. Yes one can add a few ft lbs of ump to a 40.. best let one who has done it before do it. Screwing the stop screw IN about a round on a 40 will be nice. Finally be sure to ADD the two short missing helicals n71363612 to the upper mid lH cage area. As stated before make sure you go to the "how to area" here. Don't forget about removing every other wire in the grates!!
