yes or the main circuit breaker. To test them place both big wires on the same post but be watching- if there is a short you are going to get a big arc when you try this. Sometime these thing just go due to heat and vibration sometime it is a real short.. If it is located under the engine suggest moving to cooler location - as far as wires allow.
