we run the outback with are seeders and i don't think that they are really worth the money to compared to the green star the mapping part of the system does not work as well as the greenstar

We used the Outback Reciever this year on our AFS Case mapping system for yeild maps and it worked quite well. There really isnt that much difference in recievers, if you are using WAAS differential correction that is free. This seems accurate enough for us, and there is no subscription. allen

I don't think you'll have much trouble using the Outback as a reciever to generate maps. You'll still have to have the Greenstar Mobile Mapping Processor, and the data you pull off of the card is going to look the same. The only difference is that you won't have a green and yellow reciever on top of the cab, and you'll save a few thousand by not buying another receiver.
