I was thinking of getting the plastic pieces for the steel auger. Not for damage, but for wear and easier bin filling. Anyone tried anything plastic for the bubble upIJ
I made a plastic covered steel bubbleup auger last fall for combining kidney beans. It helped to reduce smearing when the beans are a bit tough or there are green ones in the sample. If the beans are good and dry I doubt that it will reduce damage very much. I got plastic from lundell Plastics and it appears to be very tough.
