west illini; As I've read and also been told, rotor rumble is heard when poor transport of the crop is happening.(greenstem beans) Excess power consumtion (greenstem beans) can be delt with by increasing rotor speed. Getting away from torque and adding speed or rotor RPM is effective. If the straw would feed into the feeder house right in the first place, these other things wouldn't be an issue so much at all. Tough conditions may not last long, I only ran a day or so at 900, thereafter it got better.
