Just curious but what concaves do you haveIJ Are you running Universal or Small Grain. Also what wire spacing combinations have you triedIJ The reason I ask is that the CR940 here bogged down in wheat with small grain concaves installed but ran soybeans and corn last fall like nothing with round bars concaves installed. I have also heard that in the midwest alot of CR owners are running roundbars all season long. They are buying a rub bar insert from some welding shop in IN. This fits up along the round bar but sticks up further toward the rotor and has a square faced bar. The sqare faced bar fits up right against the round bar cutting down the open area by half. I have seen one set intalled in a CR920. They look to be easy to put in and take out without removing the concaves. Fraom what I've been told guys are getting good threshing and having no HP problems using these in small grains. Around here all of the combines were ordered as corn_soybean machines so I know of none that have been run with Univesal concaves and I am wondering how they have worked. In the past with TR's Universal concaves were the only thing used around here.
