[Petal to the Metal]

I produced my first crop of organic tomatoes this year, and it's definitely been a learning experience. One of the things I've learned is that the fruit will taste sweeter if you water the plant less. That's my tip. Let's hear yours.

If you think something is wrong with the plant that can't be easily fixed, then pick the green tomatoes and fry them up. They're delicious!

Really, sweeter if you water less. Interesting! I wonder why that is?
We pick our tomatoes as soon as they start to turn, sit them on the windowsill to ripen. This gives more room to grow more!

That is something I have never heard before either. Why would watering something change the flavor? If we don't water things, they die (heat has been crazy). I am going to try this next season and compare the flavor.
