USDA Hosts First-Ever Virtual Fair on Food Waste Reduction Innovations and Leaders

WASHINGTON, April 28, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced today that it will host the first-ever Food Loss and Waste Innovation Fair on May 26 (12 - 4 p.m. ET),to showcase USDA investments and business leadership in reducing food loss and waste throughout the food system.

Is it the first-ever fair? Or the first-ever virtual fair? You typically don't hear about this, so I'm hoping they have been finding solutions long before this.

To quote straight from the official website, "In the US, more than one-third of all available food goes uneaten through loss or waste." Wow! That is not good. It looks like this fair might have some useful content. I just hope it isn't too salsey.
