Different states have different rules, but I believe you'll be okay. I'd go ahead and apply for the permit. It's never been easier, but that might change once the pandemic dies down. Do it before there's more red tape.
I believe they're all hybrids, and I agree that they're very pretty. I also like deep red sunflowers. There are a lot more colors out there today. I hope your purple sunflowers turn out beautifully.
That's one of the reasons that I have a greenhouse. Can you get one of those? A hoop house will also extend your harvest season if you want something that's low-maintenance. You can also force some flowers to bloom inside. Most bulbs are good for this and it will bring some cheerful color to...
We are! It's hard work, but it's worth it to have enough tasty, nutritious food to get us through the cold months. I miss canning with friends. It made it seem less like work and more like a party.
I hope not; it did not go well for us last year! I haven't seen anything on the news to suggest there's been an outbreak in my son's school or I might feel differently. He's pretty good about wearing a mask, so I hope that will be enough.
Hello everyone! My name is Eden and I'm a florist. I grow most of my own cut flowers and exotic orchids. My husband and I have a friendly and well-behaved son who is adventurous enough to keep us on our toes. We have a menagerie of chickens, goats, cats, and dogs. I love hearing family/home...
My chickens are still laying, but they're not as productive as they should be this time of year. Could it be the extreme temps that we've seen this month? I haven't changed their diet or anything like that. What can I do to fix this?
I believe in spirits and stuff, but that's probably the Catholic in me. Last winter it snowed so much that I was ready to believe in the Abominable Snowman.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to The Home Depot and Lowes this weekend to see what I can find. Makita has good reviews, and they make a lot of stuff in the USA, so I might go with that.
RichZ, that's sad to hear about DeWalt. Craftsman's quality has gone down too on some things. I...
That's so kind of you to help them out, @Ritar. I bet they really appreciate it! I'll be thinking about you guys. I pray the water recedes soon! I hope you'll keep us updated and let us know how you're doing.
I do and I highly recommend it. One thing that I always add is marigolds because they attract pollinators while deterring white flies and killing bad nematodes. Cucumbers and tomatoes grow well together. There are tons of options, really.
No, the battery degraded over time. I've been through a few. I've needed to replace some bits too. The drill is still good though. The motor still works great. I just can't buy another battery for it because they don't make them anymore. I can't say enough good things about it though...
I've had my original Craftsman drill for over 15-years now, but they no longer make the batteries, so I'm going to have to move on. I've already tried another Craftsman, and it was a big disappointment. I've tried a Black and Decker and the battery on it is laughable. Please let me know if...
