Hey farmer tony read my post again I said that I thought the cost difference was $150,000.00 my neighbour never told me the price difference I was speculating. I will speculate here again an 8010 with a 36' head would run you I think about $450,000 to $475,000 CDN a 2388 with a 36' head I think would cost around $325,000.00 CDN. Now these are prices I am just guessing at I guess if one would get real serious about buying and not having a trade things might be closer to your price difference between a 2388 and an 8010. Glad to hear your 8010 is still holding together for you

Well. As I said we did 330 tons of wheat per day (24" header yield 6t_ha). Our neighbor got new 2388 this season he did 140 t per day in wheat (20" header) Of cause it says nothing. Could be different conditions different driver etc but... my friend has lexion 580 he is happy if gets 225 t of wheat per day. I'm really interested to know whats happening in different parts of the world. Thank you for responses

farmertony, What are you running in your combine to get 5800, was that for a second or twoIJ What grates, what sieve settings, fan speed, concave, I'm telling you we can get 4400 and its at 85% power usage, but the sieves can't handle any more than that. Thats 5.2 mph 230bu_ac corn 15.5 moisture.

The same thing happens to us. Engine was on the limit and chafer was open all the way fan on fool speed. Then we got about 47 t_h (we spend whole day on adjustments and started to work just at 14 00 until 22 00 we had more then 200t. keeping in mind that was leftovers of the field and troubles with transport) in triticale. This is why I started this discussion. I wont to know how to get more out of this beastIJ If it is possible
